BIBLE READING|ROMANS 8: 29-30
Transformation is not renovation, refurbishing or reformation. It is a fundamental, complete, or total change in someone or something’s appearance or form as originally known.
Three basic ingredients for change are identified here:
The realization of the hopelessness of trying to change by will power; the necessity of the saving knowledge and the grace of God to make change possible; the active engagement in the divine dynamics of change.
Man’s carnality and depravity have rendered him powerless to effect changes by himself, thus the need for divine help.
This help is now available by the power of the Holy Spirit working in a believer to do an inward work of destiny fulfilment.
This is made possible by man’s appreciation of the grace offered, and a confidence in God to deliver on his promise which is engendered by a life of fellowship with Jesus Christ.
This way, we become blessed with the knowledge of God as the only remedy for sin; the only rescue from defeat and judgement; the only avenue for victory and growth to maturity.
As we put ourselves in this growth environment by coming to God daily in transparency, and beholding his glory, we then become transformed into his image in a step-wise manner by the help of the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER: Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace, I come to you today in appreciation of your mercy and the grace. Please make me the person you want me to be according to your purpose.
