Contending for the faith Pt12
What does Jesus mean by “Have faith in God ” Pt4
"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God."
Faith in God is a spiritual force. A spiritual force that makes the impossible possible Mark 9:23, 11:22-23, Hebrews 11:3. Faith is beyond what we profess and confess. It is a spiritual force that has the capacity to make what does not exist to begin to exist, it can make incurable disease certified by the best of physicians to be completely healed and made well, it can turn impossible situations around. In the realm of the Spirit, faith is the legal tender with which we can obtain anything from God. Without faith, we cannot obtain anything from God.
For by faith the elders obtained a good report. In the Christian life, the just must live by his faith. Faith is believing the word of God, faith is standing on the promises of God, faith is confessing the word of God in the face of challenges, faith is our profession. The writer of Hebrews wrote, let us hold fast the profession of faith without wavering, for he is faithful that promised. Complaining or getting emotional about your situation cannot change your situation instead you must stand in faith, having done all to stand. How can the walls of Jericho fall down flat by a shout? The children of Israel were asked by the Lord to walk round Jericho once a day for six days and on the seventh day they were to march round seven times and on the seventh time, they should give a shout. By simply walking by faith, the walls of Jericho fell down flat.
Abraham believed God and the deadness of his own body and the deadness of Sarah’s womb was completely turned around. By simply believing the word of God, Isaac was born to Abraham and Sarah at an impossible age. While Abraham was waiting for the promise, he did not stagger at the promise but was strong in faith giving thanks to God. God dwells in eternal now which means that God is not limited by time. In dealing with God, you must relate with Him by faith. No believer in Christ can relate with God without faith. Jesus answered and said to them, have faith in God.
