Our stand of faith Pt. 14

Having done all to stand Pt. 1

Ephesians 6:13
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

Our faith must rest on the redemptive works of Christ. We must believe the word of God in the face of challenges and keep confessing & declaring the word in season and out of season. To stand in faith, we must be convinced of who we are standing on. Our faith is in Christ who is the author and finisher of our belief. Christ is reliable, dependable and He is the ever present One.

2 Timothy 1:12
“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”

The Apostle Paul made a very profound statement here saying” I know whom I have believed… This is the object of our faith that we know whom we have believed and that person IS CHRIST, this is the beginning of our faith. We must be deliberate in our resolve to put our trust in Christ. Our faith must REST on what Christ has done, we must be convinced that Christ is our life.

Paul said to the Ephesian church that they must put on the whole armour of God that they may Be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand. There will always be an evil day and if we must stand in faith in the evil day then we must put on the whole armour of God. Believers in Christ need all the armour of God to be on them at every unit time. The armour of God is not what you wear when you are facing challenges. You will observe that there is no armour for the back, all amour are in front, this is because God wants you to stand in faith without turning back.

The armour include the breastplate of righteousness; We must be righteousness conscious at all time and stay in right standing with God. The shield of Faith; it is with faith we are to quench all fery darts that Satan release at us. The helmet of salvation; we must always depend on the saving grace of Christ and not on our performance. The belt of truth; we must live in the transparency of the word of God and be genuine in our approach to the word. Our feet laced with the gospel; we must be actively involved in the preaching of the gospel. The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; we must be skillful in the use of the sword. Praying always with all prayers…. The life of prayer is our life, we must engage in constant communion with the Holy Spirit. The whole armour of God is what we must put on so we can stand in faith.
