REALITY OF BEING MORE THAN A CONQUEROR

APRIL 3|SATURDAY
BIBLE READING|ROMANS 8:31-39

You may have heard or made a lamentation that goes thus: If I am more than a conqueror because Jesus defeated the devil so that I can walk victoriously in life, why do I struggle to get to a place where I can be victorious? Why do I strive to overcome the smallest obstacle? I read my Bible, I pray fervently, live just and holy, attend church, pay tithes, yet, never seem to gain victory over my circumstances.

Romans 8:37 says that Christians are “more than conquerors” in this world. Do we really know what it means to be more than a conqueror? To be more than a conqueror means that before you ever get a problem, you already know that whatever problem comes your way, you can overcome it through Christ.

You live with the confidence that God loves you no matter what comes your way, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. When you have this kind of relationship with Christ, you aren’t constantly afraid of bad news or of things that may happen that aren’t in your plan. When the unexpected happens or you’re disappointed, you won’t be devastated by it. This is what it means to be more than a conqueror. No circumstance changes your confidence in Jesus Christ.

PRAYER: Lord help me to realize that I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.
