DISCIPLES, NOT MULTITUDES

BIBLE READING|MATT. 13:1-3,10-18,36

Are you a disciple of Jesus Christ? If you are, it means you have yielded yourself to learn, and to be taught by Him. Jesus Christ never had deep and intimate discourse with the multitude. He did it only with the disciples – Matthew 4:23-25; 5:1-2. The multitude thronged after him for food, drink, healing etc. He spoke to them mostly in parables. The multitudes were not known to wait to get details and depth on any spiritual matter. On the contrary, the disciples sought for deep spiritual things. Physical bread was not their priority. They were privileged to hear and learn kingdom
principles from Jesus Christ. The story is the same in our times and in our churches.

In order to live a life of excellence with cutting-edge advantages, you must be a disciple. You must come out from the multitude. Develop a secret and deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. You must seek Him personally and deeply by searching through the scriptures (John 5:39-42). Disciples are individuals that acknowledge that they do not yet know
enough. They are humble; they love to feed at the feet of the Master, hear Him and obey Him. The multitude are not so. They are swayed by the world view so easily rather than the bible view. They follow Jesus for temporal gains and privileges.

What steps can you take to migrate from being a multitude to becoming a disciple?

PRAYER: Lord, please give me the grace to separate myself from the multitude.
