BIBLE READING|ACTS 4:13-16
The grace of God is a free gift, yet infinitely costly to God (1Peter 1:18- 19), and so genuine and true. It is unlike the several free gifts and moneys offered through our smart phones and e-mail in-boxes that could be scam and fraud. Some other religions of the world offer hope that are false and end up in dashed dreams.
Grace is tangible and has historical and scientific evidence. Jesus came in the flesh, lived on earth, died, was buried and resurrected on the third day. Paul’s testimony in 1Timothy 2:16 sums this up. Jesus is the giver of this grace. Though many do not believe, they cannot deny it because the proofs are incontrovertible – vs.16.
The grace of God at work in many lives confirms the genuineness of this gift of God. Thieves, extortionist, harlots, the morally good but selfrighteous, drunkards, drug addicts, the prodigal (Luke 19:8; John 4:17, 29; Luke 15:11-24), idol worshippers, (Acts 19:19-20) atheists, agnostics, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and other religious fellows that receive this grace have several stories to tell – forgiveness, salvation, hope, peace, healing, deliverance, etc. Many have their lives dramatically changed and transformed for good, yet they cannot explain such turn around based on any logic.
The quality of the transformed lives and the acts that are visibly seen as a result lend credence to the genuineness of this grace.
PRAYER: Father Lord, thank you for your grace that brought down salvation to man. May my life be a daily proof of the genuineness of your grace.
